General Membership of The UUPTWA

The association is named and titled as “USTHI UNITED PRIMARY TEACHERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION”, hereinafter to be referred as “UUPTWA”.

Qualifications for being a general member of the UUPTWA...?
1. One is to be/ was a teacher in service of a school, in its Primary Section, affiliated and controlled by the Government of West Bengal, subject to the age limit of 65 years. In case the applicant is a retired teacher, he/she must have retired as a Primary School Teacher.
2. One is to be/ was a teacher in service of a school, in its Primary Section, affiliated and controlled by the Government of West Bengal, subject to not being suspended.
3. There should not be pending any issues before any authority against the concerned teacher regarding his/ her ethics attached with the profession of teaching.
4. There should not be pending any issues before any authority against the concerned teacher regarding his/ her moral turpitude.
5. The Governing Body of the UUPTWA reserves its right to confer the Honorary Membership upon any person/persons whom it finds to be worth of.
6. If he/ she is a member of any other organisation he/ she has to disclose it at the time of applying/ filling the form for taking the membership of the UUPTWA.
7. He/ she must be ready to abide by all the rules and regulations developed by the UUPTWA from time to time.
8. One has to be agreed upon the maintenance of the apolitical character of the UUPTWA.
9. One has to agree that he/ she in any circumstances will not use the resources of the UUPTWA for any other organisation or for any other purpose except the UUPTWA.
10. The UUPTWA has its full discretion to make and amend its rules and regulations from time to time by following the legal procedure, and everyone who is going to be attached with the UUPTWA has to be ready to adopt such amended or changed rules and regulations.
11. One has to be ready to pay the amount of Membership Fee, subject to get changed from time to time, that is decided by the UUPTWA.
12. One has to be ready to provide his/ her personal details which must be true and correct, and he/ she shall be solely responsible and liable if the said information is found incorrect; and he/ she also agrees to provide any additional information as and when demanded by the UUPTWA.
13. To apply for membership one is required to furnish self-attested copies of proof of identity, proof of address, phone numbers (Residence and Mobile Number), valid E-mail ID. Document furnished by him/ her as proof of address or proof of Identity shall only be accepted if the same is/ are issued by a recognized Government Authority, Institution (Central or State) or any another authority acceptable to the UUPTWA.
14. To become a Member of the UUPTWA he/ she also agrees to provide any additional information as and when demanded by the UUPTWA.
15. The UUPTWA reserves its right to terminate a membership without notice or refund of any Membership Fees if the information provided by him/ her is found to be incorrect or false at any point of time, or any of his/her activities found to be against the policy of the UUPTWA.
16. The UUPTWA is free to initiate civil as well as criminal action against that concerned teacher if the information provided by him/ her is found to be incorrect or false at any point of time.
17. The UUPTWA has its full discretion to add, remove any teacher from the membership of the UUPTWA.
18. Renewal of general membership is to be completed within the month of April for the session of April of the current/running year to the month of March of the next English calendar year.
19. When applying for membership, one confirms that he/ she has read and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions; and upon membership being accepted by the UUPTWA, he/ she will be provided with its own copy of the Terms and Conditions and they should be retained for future reference.
20. Any dispute relating to the UUPTWA will be resolved/ decided within the jurisdiction of South 24 Parganas only.
